About.

I’m a movement coach, personal trainer, yoga nidra facilitator and writer based in London. With over eight years experience in the industry I specialise teaching strength and mobility training to all ages and I coach beginners and intermediates in skills such as handstand. I draw upon years of experience, study and deep self-reflection to offer coaching that is holistic and blends physicality, practicality and the emotional body for lasting change.

My love of movement has allowed me to travel the World to teach and train with experts in the industry. Continued education and travel is very important to me as I am always looking to expand my capacity to learn from places and people.

An insight into who I am? Some people watch TV to wind down, but my ideal solo evening looks like delving into the realms of dreamwork and Jungian psychology.

My continued education is varied and abundant and I have been fortunate enough to train with some of the best in the industry. I have completed continued studies of movement & training with Lucas Hardie & Nick Wilson from Range of Strength network, Capoeira and mixed movement with Farrid Herera, Handstands with Alex Nino and Guillermo Justel and Anatomy Trains Fascial lines course with Thomas Myers. I’m also a fascial stretch therapist and have completed further education in Traditional Chinese Medicine & yin yoga with international yoga teacher Persia Juliet. Since 2018 I have connected with yoga nidra facilitator Jennifer Piercy on liminal dreaming and in 2025 I am currently studying yoga nidra on an intensive facilitator training led by the Yoga Nidra Network (Uma Dinsmore).

Aside from flexin’ and stretchin’, I write monthly(ish) newsletters where you can be the first to hear about retreats, workshops and offers. I write a blog on Substack with some life thoughts & occasional self-indulgent prose. I also contribute as a guest writer for sports and wellness websites. An example of my work is blog posts for marathon website Let’s Do This where I talk specifically about topics related to running.

Every year I host or co-host workshops and retreat experiences in the U.K. and abroad, places like Greece, Morocco, Jordan and Sri Lanka. I primarily run my business online so that I can have a greater impact with The J&T Method. When I’m in the UK I coach at London’s most esteemed studios and clinics whilst collaborating with a team of physios and health professionals at Better Never Ends. Locations include UNTIL City, Soho & Marylebone.

What does Jax & Tonic mean?

Jax is what most people call me and is short for Jacqueline.

& The ampersand (‘et’ ‘and’) in this context represents infinite continuation, balance and to hold opposites simultaneously.

Tonic definition on google:

Noun:
1. something with an invigorating effect.

2. short for tonic water.

Adjective:
1. giving a feeling of vigour or well-being; invigorating.

‘Tonic’ encapsulates what looking after your body and mind can feel like. It’s also fun and playful, like having a drink and dance with friends and just having a good ol’ laugh.

I’d love to leave you with two of my favourite quotes, that I think sum up both the physicality and the spirituality element of our work as individuals and as a collective.

“Every block of stone has a statue inside it, and it is the task of the sculptor to discover it.”

- Michel Angelo

“In this Universe we are given two gifts:
the ability to love,
and the ability to ask questions.
Which are, at the same time,
the fires that warm us
and the fires that scorch us.”

- Mary Oliver
